Music Technology Lab
"I love the MuseLab" -Euterpe, muse of music


The Music Technology Lab attaches to the Project Studio, a high-quality audio production facility. The studio contains the following harware:

  • Two Tascam DA-88 digital 8-track recorders with remote controls
  • Digidesign ProTools Digi 002 Interface
  • Sony DA-45HR High Res DAT Recorder
  • Sony MDS-E58 Minidisc Recorder
  • Tascam CDRW5000 CD Recorder
  • Tascam 302 Dual Cassette deck
  • Alesis RA100 Reference Amplifier
  • Epson Stylus R300 CD Label Printer
  • Two Yamaha O2R 16 channel digital mixers
  • Genelec 1030A studio monitors
  • Dual 2.26 GHz Mac Pro, CD/DVD burner, 6 GB RAM, 230GB of storage
  • 52x, Three-At-Once Standalone CD Duplicator
  • Event 20/20 Studio Monitors

  • Camera controls for Camp Concert Hall video feed
  • Two 96-point TT Neutrik Patch Bays
  • 2 DBX 586 Tube Preamps
  • Effects units including 2 Lexicon Alexes and 1 Alesis Quadraverb Q3
  • Grace 8-channel preamp w/remote control

Eight audio lines connect the Music Technology Lab to the Project Studio. The studio also serves as the control room for the recording of concerts in Camp Concert Hall. A total of 42 audio channels run between the concert hall and this room, making it an ideal location for larger recording projects like rock bands, chamber ensembles, or even the larger university ensembles.

Many projects were completed in the Project Studio including a recording for the Faculty Dixieland Jazz Band, numerous pop and jazz albums, concert recordings, and the Department of Music Sampler CD. National Public Radio concerts heard from Camp Concert Hall are also recorded for broadcast from the studio.
